mic Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Can anyone recommend a good read for tying and using streamers for trout?
flytyer57 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 It's not a book but there is a alot of good info here. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
troutfiend1985 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Link: http://www.slideinn.com/store/index.php?cPath=26&osCsid=521c797230b311d6cc629fd8c1b59bfb Don't know how effective these would be on BSC, they might be bigger than most of the trout in those streams But Galloup has a very unique take on streamers, and you might be interested in them. I like the Peanut Envy “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis
Gavin Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Havent read his book, but Kelly Gallop will be giving an all day program in St. Louis on April 2nd. Might want to check it out. www.ozarkflyfishers.org

I like the Peanut Envy One might think that, but when I take my spin rod, I almost always catch at least one fish on "Rapala" type lures. Twice, it was my biggest fish of the day. Once, the trout caught by my budde was only a little bigger then the lure. PS...if you try this, cut off the front treble off and smash or file the barbs or you might not get the fish back in time...specially in July, Aug, Sept.
