I was down on beaver creek last afternoon/evening. I personally didn't catch any but there was another gentleman there that seemed to be catching one every few minutes. a lil frustrating to be honest but its all good. so just saying looks like they may be running any day now since the weather is getting so nice.

There were a few there over a month ago but not enough to make the long drive. If we don't get rain and have water coming out of Table Rock, I don't look for big numbers down that way this spring.

BTW: They are up the James to Long's Camp according to rumor.

Was down over the weekend at Beaver, with my 6 yr old and spent the night Sat. Watched 3 fellows fill their stringers at dark Sat.... 25 or so guys on one side , them on the other, they are there, and finally one started to chat after they filled their stringers and offered some suggestions, thank you, but they are the picky whites, still worthwhile to seek, but the weather to come will hold those fish for mass catches within the next week or so, water temps seem to be what fellows are waiting for. Would like to see more water temps reported, which is general enough for me. Did get into some whites, after all had cleared, about 11pm -2am, with 1 keeper wally and the next morning started again around 630am and got shut out. Another fellow and son joined the area and we tried all colors and variations. Nothing. The wally were gulping all around and whites were roll flashing right in front of us til 11am. Frustrating. But, it is early for me compared to last couple of white seasons. I know I will get my day, but the trip is for the 6 yr old to experience. We did get some action when you don't expect it when 7 ft. from the bank a monster hammered my swimminnw and took off for the next 40 min. running down river, I thought I knew what it was, but wanted to make sure, but had my son and the the other boy (Gabe the Babe)his golden gloves boxing name, fight the fish, taking turns. We did land the river monster, thought it could have been a monster wally but was a 25+ carp. The video and pics are cool. They did not care what it was, they now had a story for school. That made my day watching them fight it and landing it. Their arm stretch story would be very accurate and will enjoy hearing over and over again. They wanted to be called Jeremy Wade #1 and #2. (River Monsters)show reference. Thats how you get kids to go again and push you to take them soon. Good luck, but you will not it soon enough.

i went last night to beaver creek and caught 9 whites and a small walleye. Lots of people fishing. Not a lot of fish. Finally found a spot and 2 other guys caught 29 beside me. they had waders. I didn't. Fish were way out in the channel it seemed.

Where was you at? Up by the bridge or up closer to the lake? I can't remember the name of the road right after the bridge. But have been there before and caught a lot of whites up there.

SLOUGH HOLLOW ROAD IS THE ROAD YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO TAKE HOME A STRINGER OF WHITES LAST NIGHT. BITE WAS AWFUL SLOW BUT WITH SOME PATIENCE IT WOULD COME AND GO AND SLOWED DOWN RIGHT AFTER DARK.

Yes I was down Slough Hollow Rd. Just look for all the cars and you'll find the fish. I went last night. Friday with a friend and we ended up catching 17 whites. Little ones during the day and big sows after dark. Waders are useful too to help reach the fish sometimes.
