Members BrowningFisherman Posted March 18, 2011 Members Posted March 18, 2011 If it ever gets lower you can use any array of midges and nymphs from a #14 to a #18, prince, pheasant tail, hares ear, etc. And my favorite fly at Bennett has to be the crackleback in nearly every color combo depending on the day and on the water level. If it stays high sinking line or a glo ball are about the only way to reach them
Members Newbie Fly Posted March 18, 2011 Members Posted March 18, 2011 Well if it's your first time folks should probably also mention using Bennet "junk" thread jigs , the yellow and black marabou jig, the big ugly brassies in all sorts of flourescent colors, the john deere and the big cheeseballs or egg patterns if you prefer. I myself when there like to fish beadhead scuds with a tiny midge/ harvester below it. If you go out of the park on the Niangua I agree with the two words stated before Wolley Bugger " I fish therefore I am"
