You've never floated with Cricket have you. Good luck to you sir. Practice ignoring continuous babbling and you might stand a chance. Maybe bring an ipod or something. Good luck.

He's had lunch with me before so he's already been forewarned...

What he said ^^^. But I couldn't really hear much over my chewing of the cripsies off of that delicious fried chicken. Think it might be cool enough for earmuffs?

Alrighty, I'll put up the "reserved" sign in the front of the boat.. I will warn you though, once you've been in the Slo' Nuff (the Cadillac of river boats) nothing else will suffice...

I hope it has a cup holder up front

I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted.

Why would I be jealous?

I'll be on my new yak.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

Shoal Creek is definitely a warm water creek. Largemouth, smallmouth, kentuckies,goggle-eye, perch, and crappie are the fish that you should expect to have a good chance at catching. Standard bass and pan fish setups will work. I usually fish with two baitcasters for throwing the heavy metal and a spinning rod for soft plastics. There's no need to go very light though, the creek has good color and there are plenty of opportunities to catch some nice sized fish. People usually don't believe me when I tell them I fish with 17 lb. line on my baitcasters in Shoal Creek. It's not because of the record sized fish, but because I can get away with it and it helps when I go squirrel hunting. I have several "Acorn Awards" on my wall. :ninja:

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
