jay bird Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Me a buddy and his two teenage boys going to do a fishing weekend starting April 8th out of Big Cedar. Would like to target smallmouth, but not sure if this time frame may be a little early for that. If it is to early for the smallies any fish will do. I do fish Table Rock, but have never fished above Kimberling City (Mostly around Eagle Rock) and from what I read it almost fishes like a different lake the closer you get to the Dam. Not looking for any ones honey hole, but just some types of places to try that time of year, along with what to throw. Thanks for your help Jason PS Will be doing both day and night fishing.
techo Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Cows and Indian might be good. The smallmouth turn on a bit earlier down there anyway. Might want to watch the posts and follow the pattern. Transition banks are good year around. Tim Carpenter
jay bird Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 Thanks techo, for years I have read about the great small mouth spring action up by the dam and i guess this is the year we are going to get to try it. I seem to remember people throwing gurbs up on gravel point, but like u said I guess will just watch the post as the time get closer.
