mic Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Well made the trip down to BSC with the family. The water was up and made me realize I still have a lot to learn. I had to rush a little with the little one, but I struggled with the speed of the water all day. It was me as another guy on the creek had pulled in 12 on the same water as me. I only brought one to hand. The highlight of the day was when I caught my fish. My little one was sitting down and chilling out while I was fishing. I brought my one and only in, took a pic, and released it. I turned around to go back to my spot and low and behold...there she was in my spot fishing. Made me laugh. The fishing was bad, but the daffodils were out, the frogs were out, and there must of been a hundred minnows in the hole right below the hwy. I think the frog in the pic is a leopard frog, but fill free to correct if you know.

I went down to Blue Springs a few times last year at this exact time-just as the flowers were blooming and spring was really coming on.It's just a magical time to be on that creek, not some much for the fishing as for the scenery. I don't know of any other Ozark trout creek with so many wildflowers lining the banks.
