I am from kansas and do a lot of boating on table rock and last year my dad and I took a fly fishing trip with guide and I absoulty loved fly fishing although I suck lol. My question is I see a lot of people fishing around the branson landing and the bass pro area, are they catching trouth that far up the river? I was wanting to do some fishing this weekend and at this time the only boat I have is my big 20ft ski boat so will i ok fishing lake taneycomo out of that big boat? Thanks for the tips and helping someone that dont know anything out. Jeremy

Thanks for the tips and helping someone that dont know anything out. Jeremy Oh yeah there are trout all through there. From the dam at Table Rock to the dam at Powersite there are trout througout. You can fish your big boat out of Taneycomo if you want to..I see big pontoon boats and the like in there all the time during the summer. What are the best flies and retrieve methods for this type of year. The only thing I have really done is floated egg flys. I believe theres a public boat ramp right by bass pro correct? Thanks again for your help If they are generating 3 units or more, you can take bigger boats all the way up to the dam. Just becareful from Fall Creek on up. There is a big warning sign there that you cant miss. On of the funnest places to fish is right in front of the Fish House Restaurant on the landing. They always throw cornbread to the trout there and people cheer you on when you catch them. Use a small ginger micro jig about 1 1/2 feet under and indicator. When you get hungry or thirsty, just pull up to the courtesy dock and enjoy the food and beverages at the restaurant. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!!
