drew03cmc Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Man, I believe that if I only have ONE of something, it will catch fish and I will inevitably lose it, and catch nothing else the rest of the day. My favorite warm water flies are woolly worms, buggers, gold ribbed hare's ears and leadwing coachman wet flies. I fish them all the same basic way. Cast them towards structure, let them sink a couple seconds and use short, 2-6" strips back to me. The line will twitch, go taut or go super limp when a fish hits. Enjoy the fishing, and don't overlook warmwater creeks either. Andy
Members Jack Hollister Posted April 15, 2011 Members Posted April 15, 2011 This is my son Nick who is also in fly rod training 101….Last night, at a lake in a local park, he had an absolute blast. He caught 15 fish, and let me tell ya, he counted each one out loud each time. A mix between crappie, bluegill and sunfish. He was using a copper john. Black ants are good choice to use as well. Have fun!!!
