Cocry Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 With all of rain we're supposed to get this week(end), is it likely that they will be running a lot of water? Planning on wade fishing Sat/Sun/Mon. I normally fish scuds/wd's/zebras. Would this be appropriate with all of the rain or would san juans be good to throw in the mix. Thank you in advance, Cory
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Hey Cory I wish I was going down there. Good luck. The lake is approaching power pool level so generation "could" increase. It's a crap shoot more than anything. Rent a boat if they generate. Spaghetti and meatballs will catch a lot of fish right now. Anywhere from 10 to 14 feet deep depending on flow. Drop a big scud below an egg. Jigs and floats will work. Do you have the appropriate phone numbers for current generation and predicted generation? Pete
Cocry Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 Thank you for the GL. I have them saved in my phone, but the last time I was down there, one of the numbers wouldn't work. I don't remember if it was the current or predicted. I saw a few posts here about that number being cut. Would there be another? If I ended up having to rent a boat, where should I rent from? My buddy and I would be fly fishing so that would be our main priority. Where is the best place to rent a boat that would be easy for us to FF from? Cory
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 The current gen number was out but I think it's working again. Rent from Lilley's (our fearless leader) or fall creek boat dock if Phil is full. Might consider calling now to see how full they are, in case they are filling up you might want to reserve one. Pete
Cocry Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 Perfect. I do appreciate the help. Hopefully I'll have pictures to post!
