Infrastructure and delivery are something else entirely. It literally takes more than a gallon of gasoline to make a gallon of ethanol. Yes, there are promising technologies out there but these still have to be developed.

Currently, you may be correct. But if we never get started it will always be. And that is my point and why I say the republican party stands in the way as that is the same baseless arguement they use.

One other Thing, If you feel so strongly about a redistributive form of economy like the two other ones you cited, lay it out on the table and let people know. I know I'm not ashamed when I say that federal government should be limited and that I'm a free market believer. Lastly, I've pointed the finger quite a bit at Republicans today in various essay's. What a great feeling to be part of a political movement that is perfect like liberism. Point is this, I've been down the line on both sides as far as criticism, but you, in the one year of reading this website, have never pointed out one flaw specificaly that you find with you're political philosophy or you're left of center geo-politcal view. Just a thought...

I don't think "my" political views are flawed at all. They are my opinions and I cannot find fault with them or else I would not think them.

...I think you're Jesus/Communism equation is quite interesting and disturbing at the same time. After all, Some of history's greatest figures are commies:; Cruschev,Stalin,Lenin, Castro, and their are socialist's too with a great pedigree as in Hugo Chavez, Che , etc. Yep, when I think of great men, those are the first ones to come to mind.

Yet you show no indifference to calling a "liberal" a "commie" or "socialist" although you say these "comies" and "socialts" were great men. Then if you lump them all together, "liberal/communist/socialist" they are all great men?

Maybe a good way to have political discussions here would be to require people to read the New Testament first.

:sigh: so much for separation of church and state.. lol

And on that note I steal from one of my favorite books and bid you adeau with:

Take care, y'all... ;)

But no mention of GE??? Seems that oil companies aren't the only ones who have sugar daddy's in Washington.

The breaks that GE gets so they can send American jobs overseas are just as outrageous as the oil company pork from the left.

So taxes is what we want to get on now? You guys crack me up and I can see why chambug posted up his plea. Look, you can't cut taxes and get yourself out of debt at the same time. The whole flat rate tax thing is a joke, I've talked about this with my professor before. The only reason I don't want to pay more taxes is because of fiscal irresponsibility of our politicians.

I could stand up and pretend I built the roads I use and the research that made the computers I use possible...or the theoretical foundations of statistics and chemical analysis and population biology. But in fact, the government paid for most of that.

You need individual capacity to succeed, but the "self made man" is mostly myth, yes. It requires great arroagance to claim you've gotten where you are all on your own.

Everyone uses the roads, everyone has access to the computers......all things being equal, some succeed and some don't. You can squabble about the term "self made man"

all you want. If a man wants to succeed in business, he should not be unfairly penalized for it.

No, that quote comes from Chinese folk wisdom, not the Bible.

Maybe a good way to have political discussions here would be to require people to read the New Testament first.

Callin' people "Stalin" is skating close to the big X.

After Much research on the matter, I will concede the point as far as the proverb thing, although you have admit that the true orgin is not quite known as well, and their are biblical refrences in that reguard so I don't think it was that much of a leap, but again I was off. As far as the Stalin refrence bothering you, (I can't believe I have to defend him but compared to what the left is selling, something has to be said, despite the fact I disagree with him and his brand of conservitism quite a bit) that is no diffrent than 8 years of Bush is a terrorist and he's a nazi, and he blew up the twin towers, etc... You know what Tim, that's politics and you better get some thick skin, November 2012 is gettin' closer and closer. And I have to add, though I just took a shot at some conservitives, I think you would have to agree that you're pretty much a hyper-partisan towards the left. So again for you Tim, Flytyer, and all the people that want to tax our way into prosperity, what are you going to conceed to get this done? What on you gonna put on the table as far as concesion's in this era of comprimise that all the sudden we have to live by as of election day of last Nov, although I don't remember too much comprimising going on the the first two years of this current administration. Seem's like just a few month's ago, I remember our dear leader saying "elections have consiquences". You know what, elections do have consiquences and the next one is coming quick and I think a great way for the left to achieve that goal for winning another term is comprimise and if you want higher taxes, that means you have to conceed something yourself. Lets start with that unconstitutional puke of a healthcare plan that VERY few want,(for a miriad of reasons) that sounds like a good starting point.

Not to take a stab at someone, but can you tell me, with citing to the constitution, why the health care bill was held to be unconstitutional? Just wondering, it seems lately that this term is thrown around quite a bit. And I'm not saying that you don't know it, I just want to see how you know it.

I'm not a health care plan supporter, just in case anyone is wondering.

Hey, Paul, I read you email to me today. I lost your address and you can't recieve PM's. Just wanted to let you

know I wasn't brushing you off. I only read my email about once a week.

It's all good Chief, Like I said in the E-mail I really enjoy the summaries of all the streams in SWMO that I'll probibly only have a chance to fish a couple of times if I'm lucky for various reasons, one being due to high transportation costs that don't seem to want to go away anytime soon.
