nwaoutdoorsman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 We got 2" at my house day before yesterday. And since yesterday afternoon thru today we got a little over 4" so far. And they're calling for another 3-4 days of this junk. I'm tired of it. Ready for some sun.
jeb Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I was down at White Rock Mt yesterday, and drove home during a particularly strong deluge. Very impressive to see the water just gushing out of the woods and down the rock bluffs along Hwy 16. Never seen anything quite like it. All of the White River branches through there were running very hard, and Prarire Creek was crazy fast and muddy when I finally got home. Lake level is shooting up, and the weather forecast I just watched said up to 5" in the next 24 hours or so. Glad I live at the top of a hill. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Quillback Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Yesterday evening when I checked the Beaver gauge it was at 1118, this AM it's at 1120 and rising, that's an impressive amount of water in a short time.
nwaoutdoorsman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I just checked it online. Its came up a little over 4ft since 5am yesterday. Its pouring at my house again as I type this. I'm sick of it and its killing my work. Got a bad case of cabin fever too. I need some sun!
Stump bumper Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 Just incase anyone missed it the draught is over. From draught level to full pool and rounding the coner to flood pool in 3 days and 3days of this too go. Anyone want to wager when they will have to open the flood gates??

Current Lake Level Just FYI... amazing
Stump bumper Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 Current Lake Level Just FYI... amazing The link is delayed a few hours, this morning it is 1126.33 ft, even without anymore rain there is 4 ft worth in the rivers coming, look out Holiday Island because it will be over the darn today. I really wish they would open the generators, but guess that takes too much time to figure out where the power goes. I had a report of loose boats due to people leaving thier boats in lifts and not tying them down. Are there salvage rights to drifting boats?lol
jeb Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Wow. 10' in 4-5 days. 8' rise in just the last 48 hours. That's incredible. Bass must all be flushed down to the dam by now. The new rain gauge says 3 3/4 inches here at PC in the last 24 hours. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha

The new rain gauge says 3 3/4 inches here at PC in the last 24 hours. Current rate of flow shows 1 ft every 4 hours that puts it over the darn in 16hours or less. That is the fasest I have ever seen it rise.
tjulianc Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Earlier this morning the gauge on the White River 07048600 below Lake Sequoyah crested at almost 90,000 cfs. So there is a lot more water heading down.
