Well folks its gonna happen again. It looks like we are going to have water up in the deer woods again :yuush:

Anyone actually like it when the water gets that high?

Brian I am heading down your way this weekend. What will this do to your deep fish you been catching. Would you scrap that plan and go after them with a spinnerbait in the bushes or do think a person could still catch them on a rig out deeper.

Thanks for the help Brian.

If it were me I have about 3 flippin sticks ready to go. There will be plenty of colored water to fish and I bet that is where the fish will be especially if it is sunny. If it is cloudy/rainy/windy the blade should work. I would try the back ends of the creeks. Just glad I dont have to fish this weekend LOL

I have never seen Bull shoals over 75% of it's total capacity looks like with Beaver and Table Rock not able to hold back this flood we will get to see how much water the Bull can hold. Will there be any boat lauches left when it hits the top of the flood pool? Has Bull Shoals ever reached it's top flood pool? Beaver and Table Rock are over thier flood pools with gates open, they have to increase flow and they won't want to add to flooding down stream unless they have too, so I am beating Bull shoals will have to hold it for a while.

I just looked it up and Bull Shoals has hit 695 ft once since 1957 and that was in 2008 and with the flow coming down now should be back to that by Thursday.

I would be tthat the ramp at Bull Shoals Boat Dock would be usable. You likely could launch at Theodosia amybe even Pontiac. Oakland would be launching off a road which might work just depends. Buck Creek you would lauching off a road. Lead Hill might work. I haven't been there at elevated water levels.

Some of the old hands at BSL should be able to answer this.

The LMB will go shallow, but I have no idea how long it takes them to adjust.

The SMB will stay with the old bank lines longer.

The Spotted Bass do whatever it is theydo. Stay with baitfish until they are ready to spawn I guess.

Thanks for the replys guys. I'm with you ham about how long it will take them to adapt. Is there a creek or area you guys would really pick apart from say Buck creek to the dam. I usually fish the Lead Hill area but I am not wanting to make that long of a run this time with the fuel prices plus now the floating debris. I am fishing out of the dam area.

Hows the top of Powersite dam holding up, being wood and all?

I would find where clear water is running into the stained water, maybe the backs of the coves!!!

Bass spawn should be great this year. That with the 3 year olds from 2008.

Any word if the Corps is canceling tournaments on Bull like they did on Table Rock? We were headed down for the Tyson tournament this weekend.
