mosouthpaw Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 was it scotty's trout dock that broke loose in 2008 and hit the bridge? good video of the calm before the storm
Members JD Thorpe Posted April 25, 2011 Members Posted April 25, 2011 Thanks for the pics, especially at Fall Creek's dock!! Our pontoon is sitting in the last downstream slip, so the condo area slide area is very close to us. Talked with Gene at the Marina, but since we're in Kansas, there's not much anyone can do but just hope this isn't 2008 again. Again - enjoyed your video, can't believe the levels at the Landing... denjac Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 This might be a stupid question, but if they resort to opening up the new emergency flood gates, won't the torent of water go right through the hatchery? Yes it would, but they wont open it. That spillway is an end of the world type situation. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. mosouthpaw Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 yea if they open those gates, the hatchery is the least of anyones worries....
flytyer57 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Wish the horn at Norfork was that loud. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
Gatorjet Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Now report of a mudslide on the dam face, and closing of the road over the dam. They say no danger to the dam however. http://www.hometowndailynews.com/local_news.php?id=5175 Real men go propless!
