Members BlackWaterFishing Posted April 25, 2011 Members Posted April 25, 2011 I don't live any where near the lake but it looks like alot of the rain is going south of the lake. So I thought I would ask you guys if the lake is filling up. The lake report I see is 4 days old.
straw hat Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 The curremt lake level is 4 foot above normal. The lake is rising at the rate of 1 foot per day. The rain has stopped and I would normally expect the lake to level off in a couple of days BUT ... we are suppose to get more rain starting on Tuesday night and running through Wednesday. Turnback and Little and Big Sac are all 9 to 10 feet above normal. The lake and river stages can be monitored at; http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv/?site_no=06918990& http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv?06918460 http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv?06918440 http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?06918740

zarraspook Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Those levels are not up to date. TR is at 930, not 922. They post there reading about 0900hrs, from the morning readings..... You are correct that they are NOT current readings but a daily snapshot... "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
