glennL Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Looks closed or pretty close to it. Heard that eagle rock and shell knob are being planned to be closed shortly. Only passing on what I heard. No way to confirm. Glenn

With every situation like this there are always some 'doomsday theorists'. Members brianetz1 Posted April 27, 2011 Members Posted April 27, 2011 Can anyone get a pic of the shell knob bridge? we are heading down tomorrow morning regardless of if we fish. Don't want to lose our deposit......i just want to see how the water is around that area to either dash my hopes of getting on the water sometime this weekend or bolster my hopes.
Martin Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Boys, I was across the Kimberling bridge at about 4:30 p.m. TODAY, and it was NOT closed and the water level has at least stabilized....It is actually going down, but at a VERY slow pace....I'll tell you this, the highway approach to the south end of the bridge was really getting water close to the road.....REAL close. But they MoDot guys were there and since the water is FINALLY under control (don't mess with Mother Nature), the highway should be just fine... Ootsey, I don't know where you get your info, but it is bogus, for today anyway....
Jason Essary Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Yep, went across it this afternoon also. For being closed sure had a lot of cars on it. Essary Construction - Honest work for honest price Custom Construction and Remodeling Call for free quotes (417)338-6418 http://essarycustomhomes.com/

Came across the Shell Knob Bridge Tuesday evening and the lake is just a mess. Lots of debris and reddish brown color as far as you can see.
