vonreed Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Does anybody on here know anything about water clarity below the dam? Or if anyone has been catching any fish in the area? I was wanting to go soon and didn't wanna waste a trip if someone had some info. thanks.
denjac Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Look at my picture I posted on upper Tanycomo. It was from yesterday. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. For a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~ Winston Churchill ~
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 If you want to put a boat in it would have to be at the Taneyville/Forsyth road or Shadow Rock. The only access to the dam would most likely be at the bank below Empire, but you won't reach the channel. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
vonreed Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 Look at my picture I posted on upper Tanycomo. It was from yesterday. Denjac your picture looks like its muddy to me. I was down there a few days ago and it looked like it does in the picture. I was hoping it was clearer by now. Thanks for the info.
Leonard Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I heard they were standing on the road down there fishing.. catching walleyes and a bass here and there.... throwing rapalas http://www.taneycomonights.com
vonreed Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 I heard they were standing on the road down there fishing.. catching walleyes and a bass here and there.... throwing rapalas Leonard, why do you gotta tease me like that? Now I almost have to go. Thanks though for the report. That's what I've been wanting to hear. I know they'd be there if the water is clear enough for them to see a lure.

vonreed Posted May 4, 2011 Author Posted May 4, 2011 Yeah, thanks for the pics too. It looks like the water has cleared up a lot. I bet somebody is catching some fish down there somewhere.
