FRENZEL Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I have about 3 minutes but...Been catching pretty good smallies from just outside the trees on down to 25 feet the last few days. Dragging a centipede and slow swimming the grub (but not quite scrubbing). Better than half are keepers. Just keep the boat in 25 to 30 and shouldnt have a prob. Picked up this Girl today. Best for my boat this year so far. Carolina rig about 15 feet just outside the trees. Get out lakes open! Mostly smallies, Only had 3 largemouth in the last 2 days. dtrs5kprs Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Nice fish. Good to hear about the brown fish and the grub. Am I correctly remembering 2008 having a really strong grub bite as the year wore on?

In 2008, I remember nailin the smallies on a grub pitched to the outside of the floded treeline and slowly retrieved back to the boat.
