was one of those days that keep you coming back to the rock. i figured with bluebird skies i would just be enjoying the hi water. was i wrong.

i got on the water about 10:30 after gettin baby to granmas. went to first spot, long runout fished shallow for awhile with nothing. had to give it a chance. moved out and set boat out deep. the fun then began. stayed on the deep bite the rest of the day. used dr. tube and weighted fluke.

most fish came on texas rigged dr. had it rigged using the lightest sinker the conditions would allow. mostly 3/16

would work it from visable tree line back to boat. boat was sitting in 30 to 35 ft

as for the tube tried it with jig head but after loosing a few went to rigging it texas also with lightest sinker

the light weight seemed to help the bait come thru cover easier it was a bit harder to feel some times but was worth it

as for the fluke in the evening i rigged it with swim bait hook and would cast toward or between the out edge of trees and brush. would let if disappear the slowly twitch back to boat.had to watch line closely as most bites came on pause all would see would be line jump when you got bite

never caught any giants, but caught a bunch of short smj and k's but in the evening caught lm on fluke. ended up with maybe 30 fish total with 8 keepers.

CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK AND DONT LET THE HI WATER GET YOU DOWN

Good report. For whatever reason this year, even before the water I was doing better under bright sun and little wind. Fish were on the bottom eating craws, which might have been due to the sun I suppose.

Nice report! Any color preference on the tubes and flukes?

watermelon seed tube and watermelon pearl on the fluke i tried white and smoky shad but watermelon pearl seemed to work the best. of this is table rock and it can change in a heart beat
