You might want to reconsider that Kwall, but knowing you all your fish are probably so far over the limit it probably doesn't matter. lol

I read a study done once on icing down bass. The study showed that icing down a bass taken from 78 degree water would reduce its overall length by just under 1%!!! Now on a 16" fish that is only around 1/8" of an inch but I thought I would just throw that into the conversation.

If it has to be, I like zarraspook's "safety pin" solution rather than defacing the fish.

Thank's guys for your input. Got a paper punch tossed in the boat now and a nipper so should be ready next time I hit the lake. Could have got myself into a problem and not even realized it.

In that case straw hat i sure wouldn't have anything i would want to put on ice if it shrinks 1% thats for sure , if you know what i mean!!!!!
