Ham Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 It would be great if folks that are launching on BSL would post what ramps they have used recently at what water level. Thanks in advance. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

I will find out more tomorrow but I called Oakland Marina and she said there was a way for me to launch there. If not, I know I can launch at Bull Shoals boat dock. Also, per a few members Pontiac has a working ramp.
Members Col Ron Posted May 21, 2011 Members Posted May 21, 2011 Guys & Gails, the situation is not good. I put in at Lakeview Park, the water on the road is low, but if you stay to the lake side when you get "er off the trailer it is not too bad. The nice thing is that the parking lot (on top) is now only about 30 yards away!! Crossing the dam, by the visitors center in Bull, the dock is out there, but only one person can use it at a time, since it is off to one side and the launch is narrow. There is also limited parking there. On the weekend, it fills up. Bull Shoals boat dock is ok, I presume, haven't been over there to see it. With this present rain we are getting, it is only going to get worse. Ron
Mike Worley Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Browns Beach park (City of Bull Shoals) is in usable condition and even still has a dock plus lots of mowed grass to beach your boat on.
Mike Worley Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Yes, the fish are biting. Walleyes & bass have been biting on swimmin minnows, crankbaits & B/B crawler rigs. Suspending stickbaits as well as spinner baits are all catching fish. Water temps are upper 60's to mid 70's. We have been catching walleyes from 2' - 40'.

I 2nd that...caught a bunch of largemouth, smallmouth, spots, whites and walleye on Saturday. Concerning Oakland just make a left when you first get into park area and follow road around until you see clearing and launch from road. It was easy and just idle out of marina carefully. Bull really handles the water well and fishing was great all day.
Ham Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 Is the water off the road leading to the big ramp at Bull Shoals Boat Dock there just inside Jimmy Creek? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
