Hello everyone! Love reading all the comments stories and suggestions on here! I'm new to this site and have had a great time trying to catch up on all the feed back! I do have a question though. My bass club has a tournament at stockon in the middle of June. Was wondering if anybody would be so kind as to shed a little light as to what the fish tend to do that time of the year there. I've been researching all my maps and thought it would make more sense if someone could tell me where to maybe begin looking on my map! I've heard stockton is pretty clear and that fishing deep seems to be the thing? Is that so? Anyways any info would be great and I'll be sure to let you know how we do! Thanks on advance! Good luck on the water!!!

There are others on this site that can help you a lot more than I can BUT I did want to welcome you aboard. I look forward to your postings. Good luck on the lake.

Welcome aboard! I would focus on main lake points. Start with crankbaits and then switch to jigs & big worms.

Some points are better than others, just have to try them.

Welcome Uncle Josh. How I usually catch Stockton bass is trolling crankbaits on lead core, trolling bottom bouncers with a spinner harness or slow death rig and a crawler, and occasionally on a jig with a half crawler or gulp minnow. I wouldn't expect these methods to be very effective in winning any tournaments. Best of luck to you!

Big jigs and big worms through and around deeper brushpiles. If water is up (which it prolly will) flipping bushes and laydowns will also produce nice fish. In dirtier water bass will still be in less than 5 ft of water, as long as there's something to provide shade. That dirtier water will be more on the bottom half of the lake in either leg.

Don't count out spooks and squarebills.

Set the hook first, ask questions later...
