Well- I didn't send it out till 4ish yesterday and alot of people probably had already left work... yes I've found most people on the forum check it from work, not at home. So we should get more activity on Monday. Also, non-members who check the board should send a note. Copy and paste the address and go.

I orginially sent mine to Mike Biggs and resent it to Schoonover. I also know that a member here and on John Wilson's board sent one. He had learned of the dredging on a thread on Wilson's so we can also count him.

In my letter I asked Schoonover to let us know any dates for public hearings, which surely they will have to conduct. Won't they?

I went the same route as Dano and I also sent a letter the govenors office and to KY3 informing them of the issue. I plan to send out other letters this afternoon. I know this is kind of a shotgun approach but, hopefully it will get the attention of someone who cares.

I would rather be fishin'.

Mine is sent as well. The whole thing sounds pretty sneaky.

Thanks for the heads up on this one Phil.

I think everyone should point out that:

There is evidence that this would disturb the biomass used for food by Trout, That the Trout are there to mitigate damage done by the Corp dam and it would be counter productive to harm their own program.

The damage cannot be fully evaluated, nor can it be corrected.

Its doubtful that any economic trade off is possible and that the gain of one company could cause large losses to a whole sport fishing economy, Which also could not be reversed if the damage couldn't.

I know there are other reasons, but the corp is or should be well aware of, and sensitive, to the damage that can be done by a small change.

And the Heron need the food also :D

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I to have sent a e-mail to the link you supplied.

I think any dredging on Taney or any other body of

water is harmful. And it would be very damaging to

the lake

Up to 30 emails that I know of.

Mr Schoonover won't know what hit him... no response to a deluge of emails.

I wonder if the branson landing folks and the city of branson got together and didnt want table rocks old gravel gerty and barge cruising in front of their place every day. There is, im sure ,no shortage of gravel in the lower portion of the lake
