Wife and I are staying in Branson tonight, she is by the pool and I went fishing.

4 units running, nobody up at outlet 1, just one guy and me, I must have caught

30 in about 90 minutes, almost all on a deer pellet fly, 2 or 3 would have gone 18"-19"

It was fun, kinda boring after awhile, but still better than working :)

6' 2wt and a new peerless reel, 5X tippet, only broke off once. I'll try to do

It again tomorrow.

I've landed lots of 10lb + trout on my short soft buggy whips, with 5X tippet you hardly

ever break off, I think I get better leverage on the bigger fish with the short rods.

As long as the trout don't run straight out into the main current, I can handle fish like

I was catching, just fine on my light short fly rod.

Tim,

What size/type hook do you use for your deer pellet fly?
