Ham Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 My 2007 G3 waders started weeping a little water where the foot attached to the body of the waders. I when online and got the return forms filled out and followed thw mailing instructions. Got a call from the good folks atSimms yesterday. they confirmed that they found and fixed that problem. Tested the waders for other leaks. They waders were in the process of being returned to me and they called to confirm my shipping address. Whiile I wish there had not een a problem, I'm very happy with the service. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Ham Posted July 23, 2011 Author Posted July 23, 2011 Just wanted to add that I got a call the other day from Simm's letting me know they had found the leak as I described and also found some pinhole leaks that I had not noticed. They called to confirm my shippig address. I received my waders back from them a few days later. IF and when it gets cooler, I'll have to try the waders out, but for now I'm strictly wet wading. OKFlyFisher44 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 People cringe at the price of Simms products but you get what you pay for. Their customer service is amazing. I sent my G3s in over the winter when I was duck hunting all the time just to be looked over. They tested them for leaks and found a couple of pin holes, which they fixed. I also had a tear in one of my gravel guards that they repaired and added some gussets to both gravel guards to "strengthen" them. They also added some gussets in the crouch area. They said all the gussets were updates that the newer G3s have, I guess? Who knows. They did it all for free though, so I was satisfied. I also spoke with them in the spring about adding a felt lining to the pockets of my older Simms Freestone wading jacket, I got an email back within a few hours stating that they couldnt add the felt lining to my jacket but they would give me a trade in credit for my jacket at full retail price if I bought a new one. I decided to keep my jacket cuz I didnt wanna spend the extra $$$ for a jacket but it was still cool that they offered that. I'm sold... 10pointer Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 cant beat simms! i have 3 pairs and ill never use anything else. You are right about the price...and right on about getting what you pay for! Ive tried other brands and its always a hassle with their warranty services, let alone the aggravation of having the product fail all the time. Ive had nothing but excellent luck with all my simms products and thankfully ive never had to use their warranty services but know they are excellent if I do ever happen to need to use them. Im very hard on my waders and they always hold up no matter what. I suggest them to any and everyone!
