Yet another vote for de-barbing here. It is simply easier to release a fish without the barbs. It minimizes the need to handle the fish and that is a good thing unless it is to be table fare.

De-barb before I tie, always, like many have said, easier to hook and, easier to release.

Thanks for the input everyone. I was de-barbing for a while and recently stopped because I was losing lots of fish. I think I'll go back to de-barbing and just try to work on my technique and keep tight lines, etc.
