Martin Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Well... A huge thank you to Bill and rps (and everyone - Techo u cranky ole fisherman)... I mowed and weed eated today, more then any old fool should have, and my eyes were SO full of dirt and pollen, and whatever...Then I read.....Bozo's and Full Monty's...........Laughed till I cried. You guys sure cured and cleaned my eyes from laughing till I was crying....Two showers didn't fix me, but that one, wonderful, humorous post did......Gosh I love this forum. Still chuckling by the way....Been there and done all that, and it was great to hear two ole veteran's saying what I've thought SO many times..... Thanks Bill & rps....
Quillback Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Funny with the price of gas being what it is, and unemployment being so high, that it almost seems there are more boats out chugging up and down the lakes than there were when gas was relatively cheap.
edwin Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 I think it's important to keep in mind that using the lake in May / June was challenging at best, so you're seeing more boaters crammed into a smaller window of time. The week long vacationers start going away by the second week of August. "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
Tfsh4bass Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 I fished from 5:30am until 1pm on Thursday and thought I felt fine until I got off the water and got sick as a dog on the drive home. I drank some fluids and after a few hours I felt alright but it wasn't fun for a while. Fishing was decent as I caught some on swimbait, crank and football jig...nothing huge but caught 13 with 5-6 keepers (had 3 good brownies). Might head down and night fish tonight but haven't decided if I want to mess with it.

Members W. Heisenberg Posted July 24, 2011 Members Posted July 24, 2011 I have to agree with Martin; I love this forum. I don't post very often, but I have learned so much from you guys by just lurking around and reading your reports. My old man and I have been fishing TR together since we moved here over 15 years ago, and we share the same bozo (we call them something a little different) frustration every summer. Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say thanks for the laugh and all of the helpful information you guys so generously share. We're heading down early tomorrow in hopes that we can have our fun and escape before the bozos take over. See you on the water! Eric
techo Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Bill, Got it thanks. We are planning on doing some evening stuff this week or weekend. Will try to run down to your place sometime this week or weekend. Been way to long since I seen you! Tim Carpenter
