Geoff Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Does anyone out here have a blue dun saddle? I leave for TN in about a month and a half and I want to tie some BWOs. I just need 2 or 3 feathers so i can tie a couple 4-5 flies that i feel the need to have and fish in the smokies. I dont want a whole saddle nor can i find one. thanks in advance "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
Danoinark Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I don't but if I did I'd send you some. Probably cheaper just to buy the flies you are wanting or get a Whiting 100 pack if you can even find those....outside of that you might check with the local hair salon....they probably have a bunch..... Geoff Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 i dont think they make a fly that i want.for some reason i have this vision of fishing these little streams with a small hackle fly, blue tail, wings and a olive drab body. i dont know why but i want to fish it. i cant find the 100 packs in the right size, i can find 16-18 all day long but i really want a like 12-16 "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
ness Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Sadly, my blue dun 1/2 neck was lost recently. I had it on my desk with several others as I was listing them on ebay. One of my Brittanies ate it and a green one too. If you only need a couple feathers, I could check the back of her kennel John

Gavin Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I've got a blue dun neck in the hackle bin if you need a few feathers.
