Flippin Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 A few years ago I was on White River in the Ranchette area and saw a copperhead attempting to swim across the river. When I first saw it from afar I thought it was a water snake. When I pulled up beside him I was amazed to see that it was a copperhead. The water on the White River is extremely cold (around 55 degrees) and it is a pretty long swim across it. I could not believe a copperhead was attempting that swim or what inspired him to get to the other side.
