Hello all anglers, I am in need of some advice. My family and I are planning a trip down to Taneycomo sometime in august and staying at coopers creek. Any info on that place would be helpful. I have been too Branson so many times I cant even count but that's another subject. This time I thought I would bring the boat and stay at coopers creek. Is there a horsepower limit on taneycomo? Here is what I have it's a 18ft deep V Fischer with a 150 merc. If anyone out there with some advice it would be greatly appreciated. Any hot spots all that good stuff. I have never boated Taneycomo just fished from the bank. Where can I get some good maps and regs for the lake. Thank you in advance scott

If they are generating and you have enough water; then run your boat from Cooper Creek up as far as you think you can. Drift back down throwing jerkbaits worked very quickly.

Favor the right bluff bank and throw right up to the bank. Always use a pause in between fast twitches. You should catch some quality browns and rainbows. I use those Lucky Craft pointer 78 in chartreuse shad or Aurora black. Hope you have fun! Next time go to Lilleys Landing.

Read the articles on this website. There's also maps posted here of the lake. No HP restriction but you'll have to watch the channel and gravel bars above Fall Creek if the water is low. Also, know the regulations, especially above Fall Creek.

Hollar if you need specifics. Babler and I are both gone for a few weeks but Darin in our office is posting reports here weekly. Call our office at 1-800-284-2196 and ask for Darin if you want to talk fishing.

Good luck!

Thanks too all of you. Sounds like some real good advice and I will do Exactly like you said. Also coopers creek is out and we have had a change of plans. So we are going too try and find a new resort on short notice. (I know good luck this late it's going to be next too impossible) again thanks for all the info.
