Members luv2fish Posted August 15, 2011 Members Posted August 15, 2011 Put in at Nemo and fished timber in 10-20 ft range. Used jigs tipped with minnows. Caught 11 keepers some small ones and one 14" bass. Saw a lot of shad and a lot of gar.

Jbrant Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Does anyone have any info to share on water color and temp these days? i'm heading that way mid-September and sure could use a pointer or two. Thanks. It's starting to cool off - was down the first part of July and found water in the low 90's. Went down last weekend and found it in the low 80's. Looks like the excessive temps around here may have finally broken. Water has been pretty clean as we haven't had much rain until recently. Pomme can raise in a hurry though with a few rainy days.
Members luv2fish Posted August 22, 2011 Author Members Posted August 22, 2011 Took my fishing buddy out for a trip for his 89th birthday. Boy, the crappie did not cooperate today. Put in a Nemo and fished fairly deep around stumps, trees and brushpiles. Only caught two keepers. Talked to the fish counter, he said he went out early and had the same luck.
