I hit the Delaware Access about 6:30 tonight. I cast my 4wt fly rod with buggers and poppers. I did better on the buggers. They seemed to like the bumble bee patterned one I had. Pulled in quite a few sunnies and a few rockies. Then I traded in the fly rod for my spincast. I threw a Strike King 1/8oz black/blue spinner as it started to get dark. Pulled in a nice 9in small mouth on it and a few rockies. No complaints about this quick mid-week jaunt.

Glad you had fun! I'm glad fishing is getting better with this drop in temp and increase in precipitation.

Is there more fun in the outdoors than wading and fishing a smallmouth stream? I have for the last 50 years fished for and caught about every fish that swims in lakes and streams from southern Arkansas north to Nothwest Ontario and I've truly enjoyed all of diferent fish I have caught and all the people I have been met and been able to fish with but I really believe that heaven is the first day of summer waist deep in an Ozark stream and something has just thumped my worm or jig.

It is wonderful.....but if something "thumped my worm" while I was wading, I'd likely run to shore, LOL.
