Members vincel Posted August 18, 2011 Members Posted August 18, 2011 We frequent the white river, 1-2 times a year and would like to find some good Fly shops in the Mountain Home area. It's great to talk to the folks that live and breathe Fly fishing for the area that your fishin'........ they know what is hot for the time of year and give great advise for a sucessful set-up. Anyone have recomendations?
Danoinark Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Dally's Ozark Fly Shop on Highway 412 between Cotter and Gassville. http://www.theozarkflyfisher.com/ Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Flysmallie Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Even though I have never been there I would agree with Dano. Steve is a very entertaining guy and he knows what he's doing. Make sure you get a chance to talk to him, it will be hilarious and you will learn a few things.
Members vincel Posted August 18, 2011 Author Members Posted August 18, 2011 Great thats right on our way to rainbow lodge
exiledguide Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I have not fished all over this country but on all the trips that I have taken I always stop at local bait/fly/tackle shops. From Turbyfills in Benton AR to Hank's in Waterloo IA on up to Bratland's in Vemillion Bay Ontario, I've always got good info that helped make our trips a lot more fun.
Idylwilde Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 What about on the Eleven point, Spring, and Current rivers and the shops that have a good selection of flies and gear. Take a Child Fishing they are the future of the sport.
