Are you talking about the banner at the top of the page?

It really doesn't bother me, I just know it is there and ignore it.

Am I missing something??

jOrOb- The adds at the top of the page help pay for the site. It is the adds in the main messages that they are talking off. ;) Ron

I don't mind the fishing stuff & some of the outher's.

It's when the sex spamer's come on then you get the sex banner's that is all i was talking about. my son get's on here & see's them & then ask what they mean & i just dont think they should be on a fishing site that's what im talking about.

Spammers can be a pain in the butt for sure. The google adds dont bother me but the spam sure gets annoying.

I would rather be fishin'.

stone9-7=2- I have seen other types of adds on the threads but none of the bad one's hope those don't get on to often. I am sure they do all they can to see that the board is kept clean. Ron

I could require varification of membership... when someone new registers the program automatically sends an email with a password to log on- then once on you can change the password. Some forums do this. I didn't in the beginning cause I had too many people complaining about the new format in fishing reports (the forum). I didn't want to complicate it further. I could do it beginning now- I think. We'll see- when I get caught up.

Phil; I can tell you from experience that you're never going to stop all spamming. You'll might reduce the pranks, but true spammers are very resourceful in their attacks. I spend thousands every year protecting our ecommerce networks, and at best, stop maybe 90% of it.
