Members jimf1969 Posted September 8, 2011 Members Posted September 8, 2011 First off i would like to thank you all for the help. It was because of all of you that the trip was a success. I would especially like to thank Leonard. He went above and beyond the norm when it came to helping us. He showed up Thursday night and put on a clinic. Told us how, when and where to fish for them Taney trout. He gave us several flies and told us how to use them He has that night fishing thing down. My hat is off to you my friend. Can't thank you enough Leonard. As for the fishing report well like I said it was all because of Leonard. Between the three of us we caught 70+ fish in 4 hours. I can't believe how hard those trout hit at night, almost pull the rod out of my hands. We all hooked what we would call monsters, ( over 4lbs). Mitch caught one of them. ( pics to follow) Thanks again to all for the help. All the romance of trout fishing exists in the mind of the angler and is in no way shared by the fish. ~Harold F. Blaisdell,
TroutRinger Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Well sounds like you had one hell of a trip "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy." "There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot."
laker67 Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I can vouch for this story. I watched Jim, his brother, and his nephew catch fish after good fish on friday night. Jim hooked a tail walker that was out of the water more than he was in. A good fish maybe 5 or 6 pounds. It was good to see you again Jim, and to meet your brother and nephew. Come on back down and try it again.
