stlfisher Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I remember watching a game years ago...I think division two. It was Carson Newman vs. Northwest Missouri. Northwest Missouri scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to send it overtime. After 5 or 6 overtimes the final score was like 70-63 or something like that. Once of the most exciting football games I have ever seen and I don't even remember who actually won anymore just that the game was awesome.
Justin Spencer Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I think Carson Newman won, Northwest is a perenial runner up, although I think they did win it one year. Al Agnew Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I remember that game...I believe Northwest won it. Right after watching it I wrote down every scoring play beginning in the 4th quarter; I wanted to remember it because I thought it was the most amazing game I'd ever watch. I haven't run across my notes in years, so I probably lost them at some point. But I wish I could find them.
Al Agnew Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Just Googled it...it was the 1999 championship game, Northwest won in four overtimes, 58-52.

I remember Arkansas against Ole Miss with Eli Manning loosing at that time the longest overtime game to Arkansas whos quaterback was also very good but after a few years in the NFL like so many of Houston Nutts really good players ended up singing Cocaine Blues. It was sad, but they gave him way to many breaks and I thought if they had cracked down on him early he might have straightend himself out.
