Zack Hoyt Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 The trailer is aluminum and built well. I have had been told the trailer is worth 2k itself....lol I was able to pull the boat and trailer easily with my Outback. Very light and maneuverable. wily Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 how does it work on small streams -- when i say small streams -- i mean like elk river?
Zack Hoyt Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Being much lighter and a little shorter than most of the larger(hyde, clacka) drift boats.....it truly shines on smaller water. I have had it all over the Elk, Indian, Shoal, Crooked, and the Buffalo as well as all the larger tailwaters. I am sure I could be talked into getting it out there if you want to test it out. wily Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 i'm in -- i'm buddies with buzz and chief -- bring it up -- and if it will fish me and my boys --and (the most important part) i can drive it -- plus have a place for the bride on sit occasion -- it sounds great
Zack Hoyt Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Sounds good. Let me know when you guys can get out. Ask Buzz about her....I rowed him around one Saturday. Heck Chief was there as well. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
wily Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 ya - i missed that float -- i try but i've got a lot of stuff on my plate -- i'll be at spider creek in october -- might be cool to take er for a spin then....
Zack Hoyt Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 That was the only one I was able to make. I should be around in October, or I can sneak away during the weekends if you want to hit Elk or one of the others. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
wily Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 sounds good -- i might let you take me fishing in it -- we take my motor boat and fish below parker bottoms down to holiday island a lot -- sometimes splash it in the big lake -- but if you don't have anything going -- maybe you could show me the ropes in it. i'm pretty hip on the wild and scenic river scene -- if i could pull it and float the family in it instead of a canoe -- that's what i'm thinking...niobra or something
