Members Boat Newb Posted September 19, 2011 Members Posted September 19, 2011 I was just at Lilley's Landing this past Thursday and didn't really notice any leaves on the ground. I'm currently watching the live cam at Lilley's and someone is walking down the service road on the dockside of the place blowing leaves off the road. There's a bunch of them. Anyone else have any leaves on the ground???

Members Boat Newb Posted September 20, 2011 Author Members Posted September 20, 2011 That makes sense.
Jack Jones Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Haven't had too many up here near Springfield (close to Ozark), but I can't wait for the smell and the crunch. Only downside is picking floating leaves off the flies..... "Thanks to Mother Mercy, Thanks to Brother Wine, Another night is over and we're walking down the line" - David Mallett
ozark trout fisher Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 We've got a fair amount of leaves on the ground out here. We are beginning the annual deal of it being hard to fish crankbaits, topwaters and that kind of stuff because I'm getting constantly hung up on them. Oh well, the benefits of fall outweigh the difficulties by far.

eric1978 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 All I've seen dropping leaves so far are the walnuts...the rest have several weeks to go. Didn't have any leaf problems on the river over the weekend. Should be pretty colors this year with the heavy spring rains and drought conditions over the summer...at least that's what they say. We shall see.
laker67 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 The leaves are still intact here at LOZ. Acorns are falling like leaves, and the squirrels are coming to the walnut trees from miles around. The only color changes that I have seen, were in the hills and hollers just north of branson.
