Bill Babler Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Good Golly, what a disaster for me yesterday. 9 fish and 2 keeps. Everything caught early. Was showing Steve how I wanted him to present the Shakey Head and of course caught the best fish of the day, 3.5 pound LM. That was it for the Head. We would catch one or none on each location, never had a multiple on any spot. Caught all the rest on a dropshot. Saw lots of fish suspended and also on the bottom, they were not havin it. Just about as poor as a Church House Mouse. Water in Aunts Creek and the Point 9 area is really getting clear. White Spoon test to 20 plus feet easy. Buster caught a few yesterday. He had a dozen with 5 keeps he thought would have gone 14 pounds. 2 big brown fish early on a blade in the dam area and the rest on a dropshot. Said he fished 8 1/2 hours for the bites and never had more than one bite on a location. Hope the weather change will get something done. Cold Nights and High Purssure days are for sure not working. Beck and I leave for Lake O. on Monday hope its better up there. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Jbrant Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Fished 3 hrs Saturday 4-7pm, only 1 fish...3lb lm on an orange buzz bait...it is flat out HARD on the Rock right now. It is as Tough as it gets...SERIOUSLY TOUGH We came down for the weekend. Ended up fishing about 10 hours Saturday and Sunday combined - stayed around the dam/Indian Point area. Started at 6 Saturday morning - quit at 12:30 to watch MU. Caught one keeper Kentucky out of a shallow dock well on a jig. Caught a few shorts on a football jig (on a windy point in the 15' range) and a couple on a Shakey head (pretty shallow in the wind). We started a little later on Sunday and caught a smallmouth (windy point, 6-7' deep) and a nice 17" largemouth (shallow, windy bank). Both were on a football jig. Couple of shorts mixed in as well. Struggled both days with fish just bumping our jigs - couldn't get a hook in them. Threw a spook and spinnerbait quite a bit and never got a bite.
