Dylan Cluver Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I was asleep and my brother sent me a text, "I just saw the biggest fish caught!" he helped the gentlemen land it and what not, ended up being 15lbs 5 ounces, weighed while in the net, and released. Just wondering if the angler was an OAF user, and wanted to say CONGRATS on a great fish! No one gripes about obese fish.

Here I catch the biggest fish that I have ever caught at night, and you and brandon both pull out fish that make mine look like a midget. Way to go Jerod. Congrats to you and Brandon. Buy the way, center punch's brother, Brandon caught one dang near as big. Some one is going to have to tell about that one as well.

I was in shock cuz that fish was a pig, lol. Congrats guys on some nice fish. By the way it wasnt 20 minutes later an older gentlmen caught the same rainbow Brandon pulled out of the same spot. I told the guy to be careful because that fish was caught a few minutes ago. They drug it out for pics, weighed it. I dont think it was doing to great after it was released. That fish needs to go hide somewhere else. "There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home."
Members Darren Taylor Posted October 17, 2011 Members Posted October 17, 2011 Ya it may be the same one Chuck found dead.
Members Center Punch 2 Posted October 17, 2011 Members Posted October 17, 2011 i was awful worried about that fish that brandon caught. after it was released it was fine but not 100 percent. it would swim fine if you got close to it but would not move out of the way of any fly. it would not spook unless it was forced to. we stood by the fish for awhile to try to protect it and the fish came into the shallows right off the bank. it would have been very easy pickins from that point and if the fish was faught again shortly after it might not make it if it gets pulled out of the water and what not. i told brandon that if i was walking the bank and saw a big rainbow like that not knowing the condition i would obviously try to catch it. its part of it and im sure the other guy meant no harm to the fish. just hope its ok darren, did chuck find another dead one???
Members Center Punch 2 Posted October 17, 2011 Members Posted October 17, 2011 hey tarcher what did that fish weigh anyway?
Members freelancer 11 Posted October 17, 2011 Members Posted October 17, 2011 any pic's posted? Did i miss them somewhere? I like seeing those great catches since I won't be down till Jan.
Members TArcher Posted October 17, 2011 Members Posted October 17, 2011 hey tarcher what did that fish weigh anyway? Well i was a little off shore but i thought i overheard them say 12 1/2 lbs. But i'm not completly sure. They weighed it out of the net. I know the fish didnt put up much of a fight and after they turned it loose they watched it and i dont think it was swimming so he tried to wade in to help revive it. Then i heard him say ''its swimming''. "There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home."
