What did you start out with?

I think it's an American Wheat, figured something quick and easy for the first one. I have a Coffee Stout Porter I need to get fermenting.

Anything bad that could be confused with those?

Not really (unless you're a dumbarse), that's a nice thing about that mushroom.

Well, we've already established I am a dumbarse, so I best be careful. :D Did you give it a try yet?

I may have to study up on this. I see more of those than I do morels, and that's without even looking. Of course, they stand out a little better.

BTW -- just started a hard cider a couple days ago.

Those are mighty tasty. Grasp the edge twist what ever comes off is tender enough to eat. Saute and enjoy.

Nice! Last year Kyle, Aaron and I went fishing in the middle of winter and he brought the famous Dicken's cider and it warmed us up real nice on a cold day (also snuck up on me pretty quick).

Hopefully have a soup with the mushroom tonight.

I never heard of it and fall into the dumbarse group. I did a quick read and two things to note. It says to check the same spot every year, because once on a tree it will always have spores on it. Second, it said to use it in pasta as a replacement for chicken. Enjoy.

So Justin -- how was the soup/mushroom? You're still posting, so that's a good sign,

I've never had one, but was looking online for growing mushrooms at home and those look pretty easy to do and produce year after year.
