Members reddog Posted October 19, 2011 Members Posted October 19, 2011 Went bank fishing at the Bona bridge area (that's where 245 crosses the lake just north of Bona) got there about noon left about three, caught 10 keeper size whites plus several smaller ones. There is a parking lot there makes it easy for bank fishing that how I fish most of the time. The whites will be there until there is a hard frost, then they are gone until next fall.
straw hat Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Nice stringer of fish reddog! Congrats. I bet there isn't much water under that bridge right now. That first frost is suppose to be here soon....like tonight! Keep your stringer full.
straw hat Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I figured reddog was talking about either the 215 bridge over maze creek just west of Bona or the 215 bridge over Turkey Creek just east of Bona. Either way there isn;t much water there now.
nxs Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Several years ago you could drive down to the cove on the north side of the 245 bridge out of Bona. Use to be whites in there at times. Then the Corp and the MDC decided to block off the road. Use to be a small place to park off the road but haven't been there in a long time.
