Every once in a while, you get to meet members of this forum in real life. It is always a neat experience. Today I met Hoglaw (Keith) at his place of business...it smelled of money, Despite that, it was a pleasure and I enjoyed talking with him of rods, actions, purpose, and other things. He will be wrapping a couple of rods for which I bought the parts, but now am too feeble to finish before Spring.

May I suggest each of you make a point of meeting, face to face, at least one new member before the Spring comes?

Always a good idea, that's kind of what I had in mind for this summer's OAF Float and Boat. Even though we didn't catch many fish, We sure had a great time meeting one another. Cricket and Gavin provided some great guitar playing at the campfire.

Randy, it was great meeting you as well. I'm excited about the project and these are going to be awesome rods. I sent you a PM about something I forgot. Look forward to fishing with you this spring.

We should have an OAF fish-in at some point for the lake guys (river guys would still be welcome of course), the river guys get together but never us lake types. We could fish upper TR or lower Beaver.

I would go for that Quillback if you provide the boat, and the pointers for us non-lake fishers, non-boat owners, and overall noobs. :yaeh-am-not-durnk:

I would probably have space for another person, and I'm sure if this thing were to happen there might be space in other boats also.

I'm out on this one, fellas.. It's not that I don't enjoy y'alls company, it's just that every time I show up to one of these things someone breaks a tooth, gets flopped outta the boat or gets hassled by the federales... I'm beginning to think, no, scratch that.. I'm convinced that I'm bad luck. Even if I wasn't bad luck, I'm still loud and opinionated and obnoxious and prone to incite violence in, well, most folk.

Have fun though, you're welcome..

Heck FC, we haven't even set anything up and you're out? I'm thinking sometime in April we could do this.

Quillback, I've probably seen you on the lake without even knowing it.

I know Hoglaw from creek fishing, Wacky worm at hog heaven, Andy and Joanne from Crooked,

been on a guided trip with Babler, done work for Vacation..

This is a good forum with a bunch of great anglers who represent whats right with fishing.

I look forward to meeting more members in the future.
