Does anyone have contact info or website address for the Ozark Mountain Ranch Campground?

I think its in the 573 area code...but Mr. William's has been in ill health..not sure if they will be open or not...This is a good time of the year to camp at Montauk...No reservations needed and you can take your pick of the best spots most of the time.

What Gavin said. It's a different place when nobody's down there. Plus nicer actual sites and fire rings and pads for a trailer (if you have one) plus electricity so you can bring a heater.

They had a big auction down there two weeks ago and Harry moved to Rolla. His health issues and being closer to his wife's work. I don't think he will be offering Camping anymore himself. There may be someone else doing it in 2012 but I have not heard anything that would lead me to believe it will be open.

That's sad to hear. He seemed like a really good guy, always a pleasure to camp down there.

We had a great time camping and fishing on this trip. We fished in the park on Monday because there wasn't another soul there and caught quite a few fish. I enjoyed site casting to them with dry flies. The fishing was tough on Tues and Wed. I'm thinking we just don't know how to fish that river properly yet. Also, we discovered how many vicious thorn bushes there are near the river!
