Wayne SW/MO
Very interesting. I assume control will be through what appears to be air bladders? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 10, 2011 Author Root Admin Share Posted November 10, 2011 Seriously... that's the first thing I thought of. People are always looking for things to shoot holes in - signs, trees, poles...

Exactly, that's what makes it so scary, somebody is eventually going to try it. Â Â
Wayne SW/MO
That maintenance house is awful close to the overlook and it would probably make it too risky for even some of the idiots around here. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

back2roots
Cheryl and I took a walk down by there last night. The support "springs" look like they are in a different position than in the pic's here. Does anyone know why? Just curious because the way they are now, it looks like it would not matter how much pressure is in the bladder, the springs would hold the sections in the same position. COOL looking set-up thouogh! Bill If you liked the sound....Thank the engineer!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 14, 2011 Author Root Admin Share Posted November 14, 2011 Humm... springs. I did notice them but didn't give it a thought. I bet- the springs will give way to pressure- water coming over the top. The more water, the more it would push the gates down. That means that it would affect our lake level during heavy flows- like 4 full units. It would mean our level up here would be a little lower and a little faster current. How much - we'll have to see I guess. Probably not noticeable to most.
