Very interesting. I assume control will be through what appears to be air bladders?

Exactly, that's what makes it so scary, somebody is eventually going to try it.

That maintenance house is awful close to the overlook and it would probably make it too risky for even some of the idiots around here.

Cheryl and I took a walk down by there last night. The support "springs" look like they are in a different position than in the pic's here. Does anyone know why? Just curious because the way they are now, it looks like it would not matter how much pressure is in the bladder, the springs would hold the sections in the same position. COOL looking set-up thouogh!

Humm... springs. I did notice them but didn't give it a thought.

I bet- the springs will give way to pressure- water coming over the top. The more water, the more it would push the gates down.

That means that it would affect our lake level during heavy flows- like 4 full units. It would mean our level up here would be a little lower and a little faster current. How much - we'll have to see I guess. Probably not noticeable to most.
