binman Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Fished a club tourney today out of old state park. Water temp was 49 degrees and clear at hawker fish were 2'-20' ft deep. Bite was fair there were several good bags weighed. I had 2 keeper lm and a keeper walleye all in 7 ft of water or less. No stickbait fish to speak of my fish were all caught on a shaky head rig. My uncle fished as well he had four keepers one of which was a 3lb smallmouth! His fish were in 10-15 ft. We did see two eagles a male and female at old state park. It was a miserable windy day but every one caught fish!! Republic bass club just started out and is open to every one that would like to join. 25.00 membership per person and 70.00 entry fee we fish once a month usually on Sunday right now we average 10-15 boats. We fish several different lakes so come out and have some fun!! Brandon Inman

binman Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 Well one of the eagles was all brown and one had a white head and tail feathers so I assumed one was a male and one was a female. They get their "bald" head and white tail when they molt at the end of their first year. There is no difference in the male and female by outward appearance.
Members MartyW Posted December 1, 2011 Members Posted December 1, 2011 We fished the tourny also, most of our fish came on a tube and jig in 5' of water or less. We ran up around Cedar Ridge to find our fish. There is also Finley River Bass Club in Nixa.
