Idylwilde Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Jordan Tobar caught this little fellow on the Current River last week. It was released to play again. Jordan didn't weigh the fish but by looking at it I would guess it at 3# and about 10". I know someone will see it as smaller. Taken on fly and 5X tippet. Take a Child Fishing they are the future of the sport.
laker67 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 WOW! A great current river rainbow. I think I recognize that place in the creek. Congrats.
Chris Barclay Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Holy crap! That's a nice one! (though I think larger bows are just about as ugly as carp) Chris St. Louis, MOcbarclayflyrods.combreambum.blogspot.com
stlfisher Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Wow that is a toad of rainbow for that creek!

I would say that fish is only 2# and 8" he must be holding it close to the camera. HA HA

Trout Commander Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Hey, I noticed that too.. You definitely can't see his elbows.. Fish has gotta be at least 13" or he wouldn't been able to get his fingers up into it's gills so easily. D-uh. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted.
