woodman Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 The cabinet buisness is really slow but the wife and I are surviving... Any one in the KC. area interested in building their own boat? I'd love to teach what I have learned ..it really isn't difficult...especially the SOF boats..... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
eric1978 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Let me know when you move to St. Louis. I'd love to build a boat with you. One day I will in my own shop...it's coming along slowly but surely.
stinger160 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I might be interested after the first of the year. What kind of expenses are likely?
Gavin Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Thats a fantastic offer...Wish you lived on the East Coast.
woodman Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 I might be interested after the first of the year. What kind of expenses are likely? The cost of material for you're boat.....$200. on up http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/

DaddyO Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I wish I lived in the KC area. I'd be there in a flash! DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
stinger160 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I'm interested. Both as a start in just observing/helping, then maybe jump into building one for myself. Send me an email (jkoeneman1@kc.rr.com)with contact info etc. and we can talk about next steps.

stinger160 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Woodman, looking forward to getting together the Tuesday after Xmas. Just to give you an idea of what I am interested in, eventually I'd like to build a solo canoe. That's assuming that I'not overwhelmed once I get a chance to see how difficult building a wood boat is. It would be great to incorporate some special features to make it especially great for fishing, that's my passion. See you in a few days!
