Outside Bend Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 You know what I think "Threatens Wildlife"? Poaching and disregard for wildlife code. This climate business is a dead issue in a crappy economy. Beat that drum in a different decade. It isn't an either/or issue, both poaching and climate change threaten game and non-game species, and both must be addressed. <{{{><

This climate business is a dead issue in a crappy economy. Beat that drum in a different decade. Balancing chronic and emergent problems is always a problem but in this case they're linked. Rebuilding the economy with fewer greenhouse gases can kill two birds with one stone. Hopefully we'll have that foresight. For now, making plans about how to handle fish and game is a good start.
bigredbirdfan Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Don't misintrepret that I don't think emissions shouldn't be looked at. The reality is that most American's are not willing to pay more for the goods and service that they consume in order to reduce green house gases. Secondly, most Americans are smart enough to know that doing so while India and China make no changes is also a stupid idea. The only way it will work is for all the countries to agree to reduce emissions and that simply isn't going to happen in my lifetime.

Two wrongs don't make a right. How about we lead by example, then export the technology and get this country going again?
