gotmuddy Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Here is a example this was just posted this morning on the BBC...had a terrific day today on Norfork. Fish are fairly shallow (at least today) and very healthy after a couple three years of high water in the spring. Caught 22 Keepers today (15" plus) and my sack of five topped the scales 16.20 lbs. No big fish , but really solid keepers. Caught fish on A*&^$#@-rig................Water temps are 47 to 51 degree's and color in main lake; Creek arms are little more stained, but still very fishable. Just wanted to pass this along so that if some of you guys are considering going, don't hold back; Fishing is good right now You know Donnie Moore? He fishes tournaments on norfork all the time. I white bass fish on norfork, and catfish some, but I like going out on the rivers alot more, its way cheaper to bass fish rivers. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Mike Worley Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 I rigged the "Bama" or "A-rig" I used offset worm hooks & twister tail grubs rigged Texas style. Mainly because it is lighter than using the jigs and seems to have more action. I have tried the small & larger version of the "Bama Rig" with 3"-4" grubs and it all seems to work, I like the 4"ers on 3/0 hooks but I'm a big bait guy. After reading all the conterversly on the Missouri # of hooks rule I have optied for replacing 2 of the hooks with #4 colorado spinner blades when fishing Missouri water.
Members Clete Posted January 10, 2012 Members Posted January 10, 2012 Does anyone know the limit of hooks Arkansas allows on the A Rig, I know Missouri is limited to 3.
